Meet Sangeeta

Sangeeta is the founder and teacher of Taal-Rasa-Bhava Dance Academy and a lifelong student of the art-form.

On 13th May 2012, inspired by my mum, I had started my Bharatanatyam dance training from teachers such as Anuradha Roy and Pinaki Roy. At age 15, I achieved my diploma in Ntrya Visarad from the Pracin Kala Kendra, Chandigargh.

After, I continued giving performances in different places in Kolkata, such as Kalamandir. After some time, I came in to contact with the respected Gurus Sukhdev Mukerjee in Jamshedpur and Kalyanisekaram Delhi, who both helped develop my skills a well as exposed me to different varieties and approaches in dance.

I now live in Kings Lynn, Norfolk, with my husband Dr Kamal Krishna De and have two sons, Soham and Shounak. One of my main goals is to pass on the rich culture and glorious heritage of our traditional dance forms to the young and up-and-coming generations.
